If you are interested in hosting or instructing for SORSI, please read the following:
Instructors must meet the following criteria:
1. Must be a current member of SORSI for three years in Good standing. Good Standing is defined as paying the past three years dues, and having attended the instructor's meeting scheduled at the beginning of the annual symposium each year. All Instructors must hold a current license to practice chiropractic in the state or country of primary residence.
2. To teach SOT, the instructor must be AP certified or higher. Certification through SORSI or its sister Organization will be accepted.
3. AP instructors can teach all aspects of SOT The Category System, CMRT, Occipital fibers, Extremities, and Articular Adjusting. AP instructors may not teach SOT Cranial work.
4. CC instructors may teach SOT Cranial and all other aspects of SOT
5. If an individual instructor wishes to teach a seminar, once they are qualified, they must do the following.
- A. Submit the course outline to SORSI 120 days ahead of time
- B. They must send SORSI a typed list of all attendee, Name, Address, Phone, E-mail no later than 30 days after the seminar
- C. They must send SORSI a typed report of all expenses, and seminar fees collected. This must be done within 30 days after the seminar.
- D. Financial arrangements are the following: 25% goes to SORSI and 75% goes to the Instructor.
- E. SORSI will give SORSI hours to all attendees that our members of SORSI. An attendee can join up to 30 days after the seminar. Membership fees are $50 for students, (lifetime while in school) $100 per year for 1st and 2nd year Doctor's, and $200 per year after that.
- F. SORSI will list all SOT seminars that meet these criteria on their web-site, as well as post on two different SOT discussion groups. SORSI will also e-mail directly to its members to promote the seminar. However all Instructors will need to do their own marketing as well, to ensure a successful seminar
6. If a Study Group or School Club puts on wishes to sponsor a seminar, they must do the following.
- A. Submit the Course outline to SORSI 120 days in Advance of the seminar.
- B. They must send SORSI a typed list all attendee, Name, Address, Phone, and e-mail. To be completed no later than 30 days after the seminar
- C. They must send SORSI a typed report of all expenses, and Seminar fees collected. This must be done within 30 days after the seminar.
- D. Financial arrangements are the following 25% goes to SORSI. 25% goes to the Study group or School club. The remaining 50% goes to the Instructor.
- E. SORSI will give SORSI hours to all attendees that are members of SORSI. An Attendee can join up to 30 days after the seminar and still receive SORSI hours. Membership fees are $50 for students, (lifetime while in school) $100 per year for 1st and 2nd year Doctor's, and $200 per year after that.
- F. SORSI will list all SOT seminars that meet these criteria on their web-site, as well as post on two different SOT discussion group. SORSI will also e-mail directly to its members to promote the seminar. However all Instructors, Clubs and Study groups will need to do their own marketing as well, to ensure a successful seminar.
7. Fees: SORSI sets the fees for all seminars!!! For a 12 hour seminar, the minimum fees are as follows: $325 for Doctors, $225 for 1st and 2nd year Doctors, $125 for Students. There is a $25 up charge for late registration at the door. You may charge a higher rate, but you may not charge less that these rates.
